Prepare for Medicare & Medi-Cal Changes in 2027
The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) runs October 15 – December 7, 2026, for coverage starting January 1, 2027. HICAP offers AEP presentations titled “Medicare’s 2026 Annual Enrollment Period and Updates for 2027” via Zoom and at community sites across Santa Clara County.
Important News: Consumer Connection Newsletter Changes
Moving forward, the Consumer Connection Newsletter will no longer be automatically mailed to IHSS consumer mailing addresses. Instead, consumers will receive the newsletter via email.
Important News: Provider Wage Increase Starting January 2026
As of January 1, 2026, In-Home Supportive Services Independent Providers working for a consumer in Santa Clara County received a $0.40 wage increase to $20.44.
